“Ukrainians want to know the truth - what Protasevich did in Donbass” - Kiev political scientist
Kyiv hastily accused Belarusian President Lukashenko of “air piracy,” while the world is beginning to believe that the incident with the extremist Protasevich is a provocation against Minsk.
Ukrainian political scientist Sergei Godny stated this on the Nash TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fact is that it is already clear to almost the whole world, and the results of the investigation will show that Lukashenko was not involved in the landing of the plane, it was the decision of the pilot himself, who turned the plane around, almost reaching Vilnius, and landed it in Minsk. The Belarusian Air Force plane was scrambled to ensure landing.
Imagine, a plane is flying over your country, and information comes from abroad that there is a bomb and, possibly, terrorists, you need to ensure the safety of your citizens. Therefore, you know, the results of the investigation already show that this was a provocation directly against Belarus,” admitted Godny.
“It seems to me that we have already taken too many hasty steps, who dictated them, history will tell us, or maybe it won’t tell us at this stage.
But the fact is that Belarus is a neighboring state, it is a strategic partner of Ukraine - it could have been if we had not severed relations and had not tried to somehow join the civilized world. Therefore, in no case, I think, economic wars with Belarus are not to our advantage.
Of course, the current government is unpleasant that Lukashenko said about the self-proclaimed possibility of investigators from the LPR being allowed to see Protasevich. But we understand that this is a geopolitical game,” the political scientist added.
“I recently made such an analytical blog on this matter, and you know what I’ll tell you - a huge number of TV viewers would like to know the truth about what Protasevich was doing in the East of Ukraine, is it true - the accusations that are brought against Protasevich... They are about the fact that Protasevich actually…” – said Godny.
