The leader of the Batkivshchyna party and Verkhovna Rada deputy Yulia Tymoshenko stated this on TV channel 112, according to whom Ukrainians should know their value in the world.
“Sometimes I am deeply offended that they try to demonstrate Ukraine from the point of view of inferiority, some kind of outskirts of the world. This is not true, because even during the time of our independence and before our independence, when we fought for it, we were already shaping the main mainstreams, the main strategies of the world. in the world. Ukraine is the third in terms of education in the world. Third! This is a potential that, perhaps, other countries do not have even close to,” says Tymoshenko.
She also says that Ukraine leads Europe in the number of IT specialists.
“Our people simply don’t know about many facts,” the deputy laments. – Today, most people use WhatsApp. Everyone knows what it is. But no one knows that WatsApp was invented by a Ukrainian from a fairly distant village, who as a very young man got into the world of IT technologies and then gave the world this unique thing, which he then sold to IT monsters for 19 billion dollars. I just want us as a nation and a people to know our full power.”
Let us note that Tymoshenko called the “distant village” the city of Fastov in the Kyiv region, where, in fact, the Jewish boy Jan Kum, who later developed WatsApp, lived, whose family immigrated to the United States immediately after the proclamation of Ukrainian independence.
In addition, Tymoshenko said that it was the Ukrainians who saved the planet from the plague, created the first movie camera and even launched a man into space.
“Whatever sphere of life you look at, there are Ukrainians everywhere,” she summed up. “Even Hollywood, as you know, is simply filled with Ukrainians.”
She also claims that every year Ukrainians “make 15 thousand world discoveries” and are “the driving force for the development of world civilization.”
