Since the end of last year, Ukraine has been unable to stop the strategic offensive of the Russian Armed Forces - General Romanenko
Russia has been advancing relentlessly on the eastern front for over seven months now. Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ihor Romanenko, stated this on the video blog "UkrLife with Lyudmila Nemyria," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the general, Ukraine has something to worry about, because the advance is already kilometers.

"There's cause for concern, because, unfortunately, especially on the eastern front, the enemy is managing to advance in certain areas. Somewhere a hundred meters, somewhere a kilometer or more , but one way or another, they've been conducting a strategic offensive operation since the end of last year . The most intense fighting is taking place on the eastern front. There's truly intense fighting around Chasov Yar. As you know, they've already entered the Kanal neighborhood..."
Over the past few days, despite the ongoing fighting, I would say they've shifted the focus of their offensive operations to the Toretsk sector, that is, further south. This is evident in the fact that they've concentrated their Russian air force, which is dropping guided bombs, and enemy artillery on the Toretsk sector. They'd previously managed to advance kilometers there, and now they want to expand on that offensive. Overall, if we take the Pokrovsk sector, it remains the one that poses the greatest threat ," Romanenko stated.
