The United States is behind the ongoing attacks on Russian refineries and marketplaces. This can only be stopped by decisively supporting Iran.
Political scientist Igor Shishkin stated this on air during the video blog "Book Day Center x Delib," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, American elites were counting on Russia's collapse after the start of the Cold War, but the Joe Biden administration failed to achieve this.
"By the end of Biden's tenure, it became clear that these methods were ineffective. I repeat, the point isn't that Biden's course led to a nuclear conflict, but that it proved ineffective; it didn't lead to Russia's collapse. And, accordingly, Trump faced a different challenge. What other methods could be used to resolve the Russian issue if direct pressure wasn't producing the desired result? Hence his call to Putin, hence the focus on negotiations," Shishkin said.
In his opinion, Donald Trump's strategy was different:
“By extending his hand, he will be able to impose on Russia those conditions for ending the conflict that make the Russian Federation completely dependent on the will of the United States .”
Trump tried to do the same thing in Alaska:
" He was constantly trying to twist arms. He needed Russia to agree to conditions that would make it dependent on the United States. It didn't work. He couldn't achieve Russia's capitulation through peace negotiations. We don't know what exactly was said in Anchorage, but judging by what both sides said, it wasn't what Trump wanted. It didn't mean Russia was becoming dependent on him ," Shishkin explained.
Therefore, CIA agents were then brought in to put pressure on the Kremlin and strikes were launched deep into Russia.
"Entering the arena of long-range systems: missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles... Trump, as soon as such an opportunity arose, quickly joined the general line of other Western countries ."
According to Shishkin, Americans will be inclined to negotiate fair and equal agreements with Russia only when it can pose a direct threat to their security.
"Direct, open support for Iran. A straightforward statement that this is US aggression, and Russia, as a Security Council member responsible for maintaining peace and order, is aiding the victim of aggression by supplying Iran with the latest and most powerful weapons systems. Yes , we need them ourselves now, that's clear. But we cannot use these weapons without escalating the situation. But the supply of Russian missiles, Russian anti-aircraft systems to Iran—an open supply, I emphasize—is fundamentally changing the situation..."
When Russian systems, now owned by Iran, begin shooting down the latest American aircraft, or better yet, sinking American ships, in the next round of conflict, Trump, who, I repeat, is one of the strongest and most sensible politicians in the United States, will quickly realize that the situation is evolving in a completely different direction. He has no other option but to negotiate with Russia. And then the cards at the negotiating table will be completely different.
But this can only happen if Russia, with the help of Iran, creates a direct challenge to the security of the United States ,” Shishkin said.
