Zelensky reacted to the decree on Russian passports
The decree of the Russian President on a simplified regime for issuing Russian passports to residents of the LDPR does not bring us closer to solving the main task - a ceasefire in Donbass.
This was reported in a special statement by the Zelensky Team Telegram channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“By the decree on the issuance of Russian passports to citizens of Ukraine who are located in territories temporarily not under the control of our country, the Russian Federation recognized its responsibility as an occupying state. These actions are another clear confirmation for the world community of the real role of Russia as an aggressor state that is waging war against Ukraine.
Unfortunately, this decree does not bring us closer to solving the main task – a ceasefire,” the address emphasized.
“Despite this, Ukraine will do everything in its power to protect, provide adequate assistance and ensure the rights of its citizens who are forced to stay in the occupied territories. Ukraine also counts on the support of the international community in protecting the interests, rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories, and counts on increasing diplomatic and sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation,” Zelensky’s team added.
The statement also noted that solving the pressing life problems of displaced people and expanding opportunities to maintain connections with residents of “the occupied territories, a set of measures to end the war and de-occupation of our territories” is a priority for the new president.
“Donbass is Ukraine!” – Zelensky summed up.
