The Russian army could launch a major offensive and encircle several Ukrainian cities, which would put Kyiv in an even more unfavorable position.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk stated this on air on the video blog “Politeka”, reports a correspondent for “PolitNavigator”.
"Russia may go on a broader offensive. That's obvious. They are preparing for it.
I would consider several scenarios. Scenario number one - they go on the offensive, we lose territory, small villages. And the enemy reaches large cities, where they stop.
This is a hyper-task that cannot be solved not only in one day, but even in one month, if we are talking about megacities such as Zaporozhye, Dnepr. And they either move on to a siege or an attempt to encircle these megacities, which leads again to a new negotiating track already on completely third, and even worse conditions"- said Mosiychuk.
"The second option is even worse, because we have no money to finance the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There is no money, no weapons. What they tried to launch does not work yet, and it is so corrupt that...
And thirdly, we have a main problem of people. We have thanks to the green government and the mobilization of force, busification, the mobilization track has been completely disrupted. We have a shortage of human resources“, the ex-deputy added.
