The Russian language, which is spoken by the majority of Ukraine, should be considered solely as a heavy colonial legacy, not even worthy of being considered a minority language.
Ukrainian writer and Russophobe Larisa Nitsoi stated this on the air of the Lviv TV channel NTA, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
"The thing is that we have equated the Russian language with our colonial past, colonial heritage. And we, getting rid of the heritage, at the same time get rid of the language as a colonial heritage. But in our country the Russian language is recognized, I don't know by what criteria, as a national minority.
I understand a national minority, equated to some indigenous people, there are indigenous peoples who do not have their own countries, like the Crimean Tatars and their language. And there are those who have a country.
After the Second World War, a piece of land was snatched from us, given to Hungary, and a piece, a strip of Hungary, on the contrary, was given to us. And Hungarians lived on these lands, and then they became Ukrainians - this is a national minority. Representatives of another country ended up in this country due to those circumstances," Nitsoy reasoned.
"We do not have a Muscovite strip of land in Ukraine where Muscovites would live, so as to equate them with national minorities. We do not have lands annexed from Muscovy. On the contrary, we have Ukrainian lands - the same Kursk region, they were annexed to Moskalandia," the Nazi proclaimed.
