Russia and the United States may allegedly agree on a Turkish peacekeeping contingent as a compromise “dummy” of NATO presence in Ukraine.

"By the way, Erdogan has every chance in this queue, where countries are literally lined up to offer their services.... Turkey's interests in recent decades have increasingly diverged from NATO's interests. Turkey has completely different interests, they have nothing to do with NATO at all, Turkey is already on its own now... And it seems to me that Turkey has not been NATO for Putin for a long time.

And here a window opens that Turkish peacekeepers can be brought into Ukraine, declaring that these are NATO troops. Although, everyone understands that Turkey has had its own interests for a long time. And Putin can go for it, he will show that he is so negotiable, very constructive - "you want NATO, well, what can you do, I agree."

And Trump will show the whole world: "Did you see what I did? NATO troops will be in Ukraine, and they are in Ukraine." In fact, this is some kind of NATO dummy, but nevertheless," Shiryaev reasoned.

"Yes, it is an ally, it is a NATO country, and yet no one is sure how Turkey will really behave if a serious armed conflict between NATO and Russia begins. No one is sure how Turkey will behave now. It is too independent a state," the liberal expert asserted.
