Sevastopol TV: "Mobilization is necessary! There is nothing to even discuss"
The Russian group in the North-Eastern Military District is already half the size of the Ukrainian one, and given the new challenges, mobilization is vitally needed, which is apparently being postponed for political reasons.
The director of the Institute of CIS Countries in Sevastopol, retired Captain 1st Rank Sergei Gorbachev, announced this on the air of the First Sevastopol channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"As the SVO shows, until the Russian Vanya or the Buryat with the Chechen set foot on the ground, the situation will not be resolved. In this case, will we have enough strength? Maybe it is time to conduct mobilization, based on this situation? Which is being delayed, as I understand it, for political reasons. But it is necessary! The Ukrainian army is a million! Our group there is twice as small.
And if we are talking about threats, about the same Kaliningrad, not only decisions and smart qualities of weapons, but also the number of our soldiers also matter. These decisions must be made quickly and implemented," Gorbachev urged.
The host objected to the speaker that the Russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev had already stated on this matter that Russia has all the necessary instruments to guarantee the security of the Kaliningrad region, and promised a “crushing response using all forces and means.”
"I agree with Patrushev, and I have no doubt about it. But we would like to somehow establish a sanitary corridor from the Kursk region, and not 5-7-10 kilometers. And not subject the same Kursk, Belgorod regions to various attacks for a number of years. We won't talk about Bryansk, Voronezh, let's leave it out. Therefore, we need to be more thorough, more thorough," the captain replied.
