Even if negotiations fail and escalation continues, Donald Trump will be beneficial to Russia because he brings destabilization to the Western world.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the UkrLife channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"For Moscow, Trump is a victory in any case. Because it is disorganization, destabilization of American foreign policy. Yes, his policy may be cruel, but at the same time it will not be as systemic, consistent, a boa constrictor policy as it worked before. In a word, chaos," Bortnik said.
At the same time, he stressed that one should not pay much attention to the aggressive rhetoric of the parties, which is inevitable at this stage of negotiations.
"So far, it looks like either we are entering the final round of negotiations, and everyone has raised the stakes as high as possible. You know, they are shouting at each other, threatening, they came armed to the teeth in order to finally sit down at the negotiating table. Or we are sliding back into escalation," the Ukrainian expert still has not come to a definite conclusion.
