Trump still behaves very intelligently towards allies – Putin answered a question about meeting with the US leader
Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to meet with White House chief Donald Trump at any time, but first it is necessary to prepare and agree on the positions of the parties.
The Russian president announced this to journalists in St. Petersburg, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I would be happy to meet him today. I think he would too, it was evident from the nature of our telephone conversation. But we are in such a situation that it is not enough to meet just to have coffee, sit, and talk about the future.
We need to ensure that our teams prepare questions that are extremely important for both the United States and Russia, not only but also on the Ukrainian track,” Putin said.
He also commented on Trump's recent speeches.
"I am generally surprised by Trump's restraint towards his allies, who behaved in such a, frankly speaking, boorish manner. He still behaves quite intelligently towards them, but they do not close themselves off from this," the Russian president noted.
He also explained Trump's promises to end the conflict in Ukraine "in a day."
"When Trump was a candidate, he talked about a very short time frame for a settlement, but after he began to receive information from the intelligence services, the now elected US president changed his position. He said, yes, it will take six months.
Well, we won't talk about timeframes now, but that's natural. He just started getting objective information, which changed his approach. So some time is needed. How much time - I'm not ready to answer now," Putin said.
