'America Won't Be Great Now' - Democrats Publicly Lament USA ID
The United States cannot prosper unless it actively intervenes in the affairs of European states.
Democratic Congressman Bill Keating stated this at a meeting of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The Trump administration has said it wants America to be strong, secure, and prosperous. At its core, that includes countering the malign influence of Russia and China. Our foreign aid to Europe is aimed at that. Countries like Moldova, Georgia, Kosovo, and Armenia are seeking increased economic cooperation and U.S. assistance in strengthening democratic processes in those regions.
The U.S. rebuilt energy infrastructure after Russian attacks, allowing Ukraine to fight back on the battlefield. Unfortunately, some of these efforts have been curtailed by cuts to USAID. While the administration says it is putting America first, it is in fact ceding territory and influence to Russia and now China,” Keating lamented.
In January, Donald Trump banned the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) from providing aid to other countries for 90 days. The U.S. State Department suspended foreign aid programs. On March 10, the United States officially canceled 83% of USAID programs.
