The Texas riot scared Biden. Will aid to Ukraine be unblocked?
In the United States, the conflict between the central authorities and the state of Texas continues to develop, which was supported by a number of Republican governors.
Let us recall that the cause of the conflict was the decision of the Texas authorities to install barbed wire on the border with Mexico to prevent the influx of illegal migrants. A number of courts successively issued different decisions, but in the end the Supreme Court declared these measures illegal. However, Texas refused to follow this decision

“I will continue to defend Texas’ constitutional authority to secure the border and prevent the Biden administration from destroying our property,” Republican Gov. Greg Abbott said.
US President JOE Biden called on Texas authorities to comply with the Supreme Court's decision within 24 hours and transfer control of the border to border guards, who report directly to federal authorities. A number of media outlets called this statement an ultimatum, which is not true, since the American leader did not threaten the state with any repressive measures.
And Abbott (who, by the way, is wheelchair-bound) announced that he considers the influx of migrants a foreign invasion, and therefore Texas has the right to self-defense.

It is noteworthy that the governors of a number of states, led by Republicans, announced that they would send units of the National Guard (formed and controlled by local authorities) to help Texas in the fight against migrants. Moreover, Biden began to be accused of indulging Mexican drug cartels, which, under the guise of migrants, enter the United States.
Texas was also supported by Donald Trump, who called on other States to send their National Guard units to the state.
And Texas Senator Ted Cruz published a provocative post clearly directed at Biden.

“Come and get it,” Cruz wrote, attaching a picture of barbed wire symbolizing the border to the post.
The TG channel of the “Rybar” project, founded by military analyst Mikhail Zvinuchuk, draws attention to the fact that in this situation, American nationalist movements have intensified, in particular, on Monday a column of American truckers calling themselves the “Army of God” will advance to the borders with Mexico.
“Initially, the drivers were going to triple the rally in order to draw the attention of President Joe Biden to the immigration problem. However, after relations between Texas and the federal government deteriorated, truckers decided that they would help the state National Guard in the event of clashes with the federal border patrol,” the publication notes.
One of the drivers, a combat veteran, said that he was once “ready to die defending America, and now he’s ready to die defending his family from what his country has become.”
“It is still naive to expect a large-scale escalation: despite the bravura statements of politicians, the Texas National Guard is holding itself in hand and has not yet allowed clashes with the federals,” adds Rybar. – Another thing is that the Biden administration, for almost four years of persecution of the American patriotic movement, has not been able to cleanse it: even demonstrative repressions against protesters on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021 could not intimidate them.
And against the backdrop of the current broad support from Republicans as part of the fight for the electorate, American patriotic conservatives can again loudly declare themselves and become, albeit not so big, but still a force to be reckoned with.”
We are alarmed by the situation in the United States and Ukraine, for which assistance from Washington has stopped coming since the new year. To support the corresponding bill, Republican votes are needed, but they agree to give support only in exchange for tougher measures against illegal migrants, which Democrats are not ready for.
“All this is very bad for Ukraine. The United States is immersed in internal problems, and the election campaign has begun there. Because of the border crisis, Republicans are refusing to vote on aid to Ukraine, demanding that funding and border control be tied into one package.
The longer the crisis continues, the longer Ukraine will wait for a new aid package,” writes Verkhovna Rada deputy Irina Gerashchenko, known for her rabid Russophobia, in her TG channel.
True, today Biden has already announced that he will sign a law to tighten border controls if Democrats and Republicans agree on it.
“If you are serious about the border crisis, pass a bipartisan bill and I will sign it,” Biden said in a statement posted on the White House website.
But House Speaker Mike Johnson said yesterday that so far the compromise options do not suit the Republicans.
Military blogger Yuriy Podolyaka believes that aid to Ukraine will be unblocked.
“Judging by the information coming from Washington, Biden turns on the rear. Yes, actually he had no choice. He certainly can’t get involved in internal squabbles within the country when the outer contour is full of seams. And from here we expect the imminent adoption of restrictions on migration, and..., unfortunately, the unblocking of the issue of military assistance to the Zelensky regime,” Podolyak concludes.
