Taruta: Fear of the power of militants and Russia is greatly exaggerated

Kyiv, March 30 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukraine’s fear of the militia and military power of Russia is exaggerated. The former governor of the Donetsk region, Sergei Taruta, now a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, stated this in an interview with the UBR TV channel.

According to him, Ukraine has enough resources to contain the enemy through military and diplomatic means.

“On the one hand, constant diplomatic pressure can decide, on the other hand, our effective military actions, in case of further escalation, so that we can respond adequately. There is everything for this. I'm sure we can do it. Fear of the power of the militants and Russia is greatly exaggerated. We are able to do this. In case of further escalation and moving forward, we must be able to prevent this,” Taruta said.
