Tariffs and war have become the main fears of Ukrainians. Only four percent think about Crimea
Most of all, Ukrainian citizens are concerned about the problem of the war in Donbass. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Sofia Center. 64,2% of respondents indicated this problem as one of those that particularly worries them. In second place are high tariffs for housing and communal services. This problem worries 52,3% of respondents.

“People are anxiously awaiting new bills with new tariffs for electricity in October, for heat in November,” Alexander Levtsun, head of sociological programs at the Sofia Center for Social Research, commented on these data at a press conference in Kiev.
35,1% of respondents indicated that they were concerned about corruption in government bodies, 26,9% - unemployment, 22,7% - devaluation of the hryvnia, 22,5% - ineffectiveness of government, political instability.
Russia’s military presence in Crimea and the topic of “repression in Crimea” being fanned by Kiev are of concern to only 4,0% of respondents, while the unresolved issue of a visa-free regime with the EU is of concern to 3,9%.
The survey took place from August 26 to September 5 in all regions of Ukraine. In the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the survey was conducted in territory controlled by the official authorities of Ukraine. The survey was not conducted in Crimea.
A total of 2007 respondents aged 18 years and older were surveyed. The sample represents the adult population of Ukraine according to basic socio-demographic characteristics. The survey method is an individual interview (“face to face”) at the respondent’s place of residence (at home). The statistical error does not exceed 2,2%.
