The news that the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) continue to maintain a corridor of several kilometers can hardly be called encouraging given the fact that there are still no full-fledged arms supplies from the West.
Ukrainian political scientist and economist Oleg Soskin stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There is a corridor there, in Bakhmut, it is held by Syrsky - it’s small, 5-6 kilometers, but what if the corridor is closed? It turns out that Syrsky led the operation in Debaltsevo, there was a “cauldron” there, our people barely had time to jump out. Has he learned some sense after Debaltsev and others? It seems like I learned it. Or maybe he didn’t learn, no one knows how it all happens,” he reasoned.
“And Zaluzhny said that he needed at least several hundred tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and other things. Is this still the case today? There is nothing. Did the West give it? Look, everyone is generally silent about missiles and shells at 300 km, as if their mouths had been sewn shut. Although this is fundamental. Because if you don’t provide planes, if you don’t have this and that, then you need to at least be able to shoot at 300 km. Dali? Not allowed. Will they give it? It's a big question.
