“Bastards, take out civilians”: Ukraine is dooming civilians to suffering
The Security Council of Ukraine decided to introduce a state of emergency throughout the country, except for Donbass, where similar norms have actually been in force since 2014. It is expected that in the near future the Verkhovna Rada will approve the state of emergency.
Security Council Secretary Alexei Danilov clarified during the briefing that a stricter regime will be on the borders with Russia and Belarus. In the same way, decisions such as imposing a curfew can be made situationally.
Danilov stressed that the decision to introduce martial law was not being considered at the moment.
The results of the Security Council meeting displeased Ukrainian radicals, who were counting on more anti-Russian steps.
“The border was never closed. Diplomatic relations were not severed,” says Kiev lawyer Andrei Smoliy.
Kyiv is deliberately dooming the residents of the front-line territories to suffering and the threat of death, making populist decisions instead of evacuating them, says former head of the DPR Security Council Alexander Khodakovsky.
“They” are talking about martial law and imposing sanctions against Russian deputies - bastards, take civilians out of the combat zone, evacuate children, save the lives of innocent people,” Khodakovsky comments.
