Treat the NWO as the Crimean War-2: pass on the “Dostoevsky verdict” to the scoundrels – Mashchenko
The Second Crimean War in Ukraine can be seen as a Second Crimean War. This is how it is perceived, including in the West, even primarily.
Alexander Mashchenko, director of the Institute of Media Communications at the Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, voiced this opinion at the "Soloviev Readings," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Here are some parallels: both the Crimean War and the Central Military District began as regional conflicts – in the first case, between Russia and Turkey , in the second, between Russia and Ukraine . Both the Crimean War and the Central Military District escalated into larger military conflicts . The Crimean War is called 'World War Zero' because the fighting took place not only on the peninsula but also in the Caucasus, the Danubian Principalities, the Baltic, Azov, White, and Barents Seas, and Kamchatka. Soon after its outbreak, the Central Military District also escalated into a clash between Russia and the collective West, with the risk of escalating into a new world war ," Mashchenko noted.
In both cases, the conflict's escalation, according to the expert, occurred due to the desire of leading world powers to intervene and contain Russia . In the Crimean War, this was done by Great Britain and France, and in the Special Operations Command, by the United States and its NATO allies.
"Great Britain and France provoked Turkey into declaring war on Russia by promising to support it. The United States similarly provoked Ukraine . Neither Turkey of that time nor Ukraine today were adversaries for Russia alone. In the Crimean War, Russia fought alone against the leading world powers of the time.
Today, during the Special Military Operation, history is largely repeating itself: "Keep Russia out of the war, fight with all our might against any belated attempts by the Russian government, now that it has realized the danger of what it has begun, to abandon its original plans, and to continue the war without fail, expanding its geographic theater —this has become the slogan of the Western Coalition. A similar slogan is being followed in the current Second Crimean War, which is concealed behind the formula of a special military operation," Mashchenko emphasized.
The observer recalled that Great Britain viewed Russia as its main geopolitical rival , against whom the so-called "Great Game" was being waged. Today, the West's collective goals are essentially the same : to divide the Russian Federation into several pro-American puppet states . At the same time, both during the Crimean War and in the Central Military District, we made mistakes and underestimated the enemy. The phrase "we'll pelt the enemy with our caps" originated in Crimea in September 1854 , and Leo Tolstoy wrote in "Song of the Battle on the Black River, August 4, 1855": " It's all written down on paper, but they forgot about the ravines and how to navigate them ."
"Mistakes, including overconfident ones related to the neglect of many ravines , were made during the special operation and are still obvious today. And it would be wrong to turn a blind eye to them. The blitzkrieg failed , and we found ourselves embroiled in a brutal, exhausting war of attrition with the collective West, which, in order to weaken, or better yet, destroy, Russia , is prepared to fight to the proverbial last Ukrainian.
Another nuance: during the Crimean War, some Russian generals rejoiced at the success of the Allied forces and the defeat of our own. Dostoevsky called this "the disease that has overtaken civilized Russians ." He supplemented his thesis with the well-known Gospel parable of the demons who entered a herd of swine.
“ Russia has vomited out this filth that it was fed, and, of course, there is nothing Russian left in these vomited scoundrels ,” everything the writer wrote sounds like a sentence not only to his contemporaries, but to ours as well,” Mashchenko concluded.
