The fear of state collapse has receded from the residents of Ukraine
Residents of Ukraine, compared to last year, have become less afraid of the collapse of the country and the loss of statehood.
Such data was published by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, which works with Western grants.

The most frequently mentioned feelings among respondents when asked about the future of Ukraine were hope (44%), anxiety (40%), optimism (23%) and fear (21%).
Feelings of hope decreased from 49% to 44% compared to last year.
“The main trend of changes in the structure of fears is a significant drop in the fear of loss of statehood. Despite the fact that more than half of the population (52%) still feel fear of an attack by an external enemy on Ukraine, fear of the collapse of Ukraine as a state has decreased to 30% compared to 46% in 2014,” the authors of the study note.
The survey was conducted from June 26 to July 18, without taking into account the opinions of residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, as well as Crimea, which joined Russia. 1802 respondents took part in it.
