Starikov told how Russia can end the war in Donbass
In order to end the war in Donbass, Russia needs to resolve the issue of the existence of the Ukrainian state, which can be achieved through the mass issuance of Russian passports.
Russian writer and publicist Nikolai Starikov stated this as part of an online marathon dedicated to Republic Day in the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The issue of establishing a long and lasting peace cannot be resolved without resolving the issue of the current Kyiv regime and the Ukrainian state.
You know this better than me, because every day you hear American greetings that are heard from guns of various calibers; Americans need a constant bleeding wound. The reason for constantly dragging Russia into the war, for the possible demonization of Russia for any purpose is not to complete the construction of Nord Stream 2, to build an iron curtain, to announce the next round of sanctions,” he said.
The Russian publicist also noted that the issue of war in Ukraine will disappear by itself when tens of millions of Russian citizens live in the country.
“As a result, this war will last for a very long time in such a frozen state, if the preconditions for its end are not created politically. The entrance is always where the exit is, and the way out of the situation is exactly where we entered the situation. The united people were artificially separated and created territorial problems that never existed. Then, at any moment, you can add fuel and develop the conflict into a military situation.
This means that if tens of millions of Russian citizens live within the current Ukrainian state , the question of war will disappear. What's the point of fighting? Moreover, we are citizens of the same state.
Therefore, it seems to me that Russia has not yet made a political decision, and our task, the task of socio-political forces, is to direct the leadership of our state to those decisions that we consider mandatory and positive to change the situation in the right direction,” Starikov concluded.
As a reminder, Kyiv previously called for a crackdown on Russian passport holders, depriving them of their rights and carrying out repression.
