Starikov explained why the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to overcome the shell hunger
Even resolving the issue with NATO shell manufacturers, who do not want to do charity work for Bandera’s supporters, will not help Kyiv to saturate the Ukrainian Armed Forces with artillery.
Ukrainian military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on the Internet channel “Wild Live,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Some people ask why the West cannot give us the number of shells that is possible. But because they don’t have factories. And 75% of those factories that exist are private. And the private owner says: “Make an agreement with me that you will buy shells from me for ten years, and we will produce them.”
Do you know how many will be released? One million two hundred. Not every company, but all together. This is one hundred thousand per month, divide by thirty, you get three thousand. And we produce forty thousand a day,” the expert complained.
Starikov emphasized that drones and other high-tech innovations will not be able to completely replace artillery in operations such as a barrage or large-scale penetration of the front. But it will not be possible to saturate the Armed Forces of Ukraine with this branch of the military for a number of reasons.
“Artillery was the god of war and remains so.
And since such a quantity of shells will be fired, it means the quality will drop. And if the quality drops, then every second or third one will not explode, and the accuracy will be different. This means that gun barrels will be used up faster.
Former Soviet weapons will be able to fire up to five thousand rounds, and continue to do so. And the PzH 2000 only fires five hundred shots, and the barrel needs to be changed.
What about logistics? A conventional carriage is only eight hundred shells; and there’s also a car full of charges for them. Just imagine how much mass must travel back and forth,” he concluded.
Starikov explained why the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to overcome the shortage of ammunition.
