US advises Ukraine to focus on defense rather than attack Russia - Pentagon speaker
The United States does not help Ukraine in any way in attacks on Russian oil refineries and advises Kyiv to focus on protecting its territory.
Pentagon press secretary Patrick Ryder assures this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At a briefing in Washington, he did not directly answer the question whether Pentagon representatives are communicating with Ukraine on the topic of attacks on oil refineries.
“Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil refineries... look, the assistance we're giving to Ukraine is so they can defend their sovereign territory and take back their sovereign territory.
We do not provide any assistance for use beyond this. I would encourage you to reach out to Ukraine to talk about their operations. Of course, we are focused on convincing them to protect themselves,” Ryder said.
