The latest statements by the ex-adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny are beneficial to the United States.

“Arestovich is needed because the Americans are testing the waters for a certain change in the Ukrainian course, and they have been doing this for a long time. I think the US wanted to modify it before the end of October, but due to the Palestinian events it was postponed. But now they will do it.
I think that Zaluzhny’s interview shows that he is ready to become president and that he is seen in this capacity, but so far no decisions have been made. But Zaluzhny, by his nature, is the number one candidate,” Bruter told Izvestia.
But Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation, believes that the Americans can consider the candidacies of Zelensky and Arestovich, since the United States and Ukraine need a temporary respite.
“But this will not be an attempt to resolve the conflict, but to slightly “freeze” it, so that later at a convenient moment “ignite” it again. After elections are held in the United States, Russia and Ukraine, this conflict will flare up with renewed vigor. Zaluzhny is a creature of the USA. This is a figure that is presented as a kind of alternative,” says Bezpalko.
He believes that it will be difficult for Zelensky to eliminate his potential competitors and does not exclude that the Americans may support the candidacies of politicians from the old crop, such as Petro Poroshenko, Yulia Tymoshenko or Vitali Klitschko.
