The US is trying to get out of the Ukrainian conflict by grabbing rare earths, says a French general.
The US has realized that Ukraine has lost the war it provoked and wants to turn its attention to Russia.
Retired French General Henri Roure stated this to the Franco-Russian Dialogue, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The US is no longer interested in Ukraine. They signed an agreement with Ukraine on the use of rare earth metals. But all of this exists in the Donbas. There are thousands of hectares of arable land there, purchased by American companies . The main interest is economic. And it has shifted to Russia's side. The US got it right," Rohr said.
He links the recent visit to Moscow by CIA Director John Radcliffe to this turn in American policy .
"They imagine they can shift their interests to the side of a victorious Russia and somehow use the same resources, which will no longer be Ukrainian, but Russian . Plus everything related to the Far East," Rohr said.
