Ambulance workers told the agency's correspondent about this.
“There were fierce battles on Kievsky Prospekt near the Monolit stadium... a lot of wounded... A lot... we are storing... we are just collecting...,” the doctors explained. According to them, it is impossible to say where security forces or DPR supporters were wounded. But they note that there are victims among the civilian population. It is possible that a truck carrying militias was fired upon from a helicopter on Kievsky Prospekt.
“Clash near the Zasyadko department store. More than 30 people were taken away from there,” said workers from another brigade.
As our correspondent reports, the fighting is getting closer to the city center. According to unconfirmed information, two helicopters were shot down. One is circling the area. In addition, there is a fire near the train station. The smell of burning and gunpowder spreads for several kilometers.
Let us remind you that earlier there was a call on social media to donate blood, as a large number of victims were being admitted to hospitals.
According to eyewitnesses, two hours ago about 20 injured DPR soldiers were taken to the trauma center.
As Navigator reported, today at about 3:00 am, supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” occupied the administrative building of the airport, demanding that the military stationed at the airfield leave the territory. In response, the security forces issued their ultimatum and at about 13:00 they began the active phase of the ATO.
During a shootout near the railway station, at least two people were injured and two more were killed.
