According to Krivonos, factories fulfilling defense orders have actually stopped.

“The question is that we do not have enough armored personnel carriers. We don't have enough armored cars. Even if these were the 152nd armored personnel carriers, it would still be nice. At least there is something. The commanders would be happy about this too. But we don’t have a huge number of cars. At the same time, we are not manufacturing the KRAZ vehicle, because the plant has actually already been run down and no one is looking into this issue. The Americans will purchase more than a thousand KRAZ vehicles in the form of friendly assistance, but no one has approached this systematically,” the general said.

“How many caliber orders have we had over the last year for the Artem plant, which is the only enterprise that produces shells? The plant is standing... We have a hunger for shells, the question is not only what we have, but whether we can feed the guns that we have. The number one question now is to saturate the huge amount of reserves that would allow us to fight for at least a month. And this is our problem,” Krivonos said.
