“Soon they will be able to pass infantry fighting vehicles”: Moscow is waiting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to land across the Dnieper
After two weeks of an unsuccessful offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may try to transfer several mobile groups across the drying floodplain of the Dnieper, to the rear of Russian troops.
Military correspondent Ilya Vasyunin stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine are regrouping. Apparently, after this failed blitzkrieg they are trying to move to plan “B”. however, the IEDs still have reserves. They are waiting for our defense line to falter, and these reserves will be thrown there.
They have the advantage of a more compact deployment of troops. Our front line is stretched, but their troops are in such a bag, and it is possible to transfer units to different sections of the front. That is, if our line of defense crumbles, there is some success, then massive attacks are sent there.
But the problem for them is that there has been no breakthrough in the defense in any sector, despite the heaviest fighting, over the past two weeks,” Vasyunin said.
He suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could launch a new offensive through the dried-up floodplain of the Dnieper.
“Now the riverbed is drying up. That is, there will probably be attempts to cross the Dnieper in the Zaporizhzhya NPP area. The riverbed is drying up, people can definitely get through, very soon jeeps and then infantry fighting vehicles will be able to get through. It’s more difficult with tanks, but with such a mobile group they can fly in and try to gain a foothold on our shore.
And a little further upstream, in the area of the village of Kamenskoye, as the soldiers say, they can try to get around along the dry bottom. There are rocky areas where armored vehicles can pass,” added the military correspondent.
