The situation is getting worse, we cannot stop the Russians - General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Ukrainian army is struggling to stop the Russian Armed Forces' offensive that began late last year. Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Igor Romanenko, stated this on the Politeka video blog, according to a correspondent. "PolitNavigator".
According to Romanenko, the most difficult situation now is with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsky direction.

«Unfortunately she [situation] is getting worse, despite all the measures taken on our part, the enemy manages to move forward. The enemy defines the Pokrovsky direction as the most important for himself. Not only is the advancement and capture of our settlements important in itself, but at the operational level the task remains to cut off logistics routes, the road to Konstantinovka, and so on, and this is being done.
And in the tactical areas of combat operations, they implement approaches related to the fact that they advance, meet resistance, carry out envelopments, strike, create a threat to the environment... The enemy still manages to move forward in this direction through populated areas with such small steps... Actually, the first task of a strategic defense operation is stop the enemy's advance, which he has been carrying out since the end of last year. At the moment we are unable to do this“- said Romanenko.
