The Ukrainian Armed Forces units settled in Avdeevka are experiencing huge problems with supplies, but they can no longer withdraw in an organized manner.
Military expert, retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov, correspondent of PolitNavigator, stated this on air on the Vyshka Internet channel.
“A person drinks three liters of water every day and eats three kilograms of food. We have a garrison of ten thousand in Avdeevka, so multiply it. This is how many trucks need to be brought. And the road is under military control. And the ammunition is diesel. And all the rest.
There is political expediency, and there is military necessity. So, political expediency has led us to the situation that exists. But under military necessity, retreating to previously prepared positions is normal.
But organizing a planned retreat is much more difficult than the offensive itself. And commanders who know how to do this are more professional,” Starikov said.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces units settled there would not withstand such pressure for long.
“Overnight, about fifty FABs arrived at Avdeevsky Koksokhim. And they come in 250, 500, 1500, and more. So, imagine how much it arrived. They will bomb like Azovstal. The same methodology will be used for Azovstal.
