Sidor Kovpak helped the “partisans” from the UPA until the 60s – Arestovich
Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, commander of the famous partisan formation, Sidor Kovpak was a “very controversial personality” for the Soviet military and statesman.
Advisor to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich, notorious for anti-Russian propaganda and PR of charlatans, told Kiev journalist Dmitry Gordon about this during a walk through the Kiev cemetery, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Kovpak was a very interesting figure, a brave man. This is a man who went through relations with the OUN-UPA, being a communist. They brought him out, started him, provided for him. And there was a big discussion whether it was worth helping him, but since the detachment was mainly Ukrainians, they helped. This was even reflected in Soviet cinema. But in reality it was even cooler - they actually saved him, if it weren’t for them, that’s it, there wouldn’t be any Sidor Kovpak,” wrote the caramel.
"He was always a controversial guy, say those who knew him. Twirling his mustache, he was somewhere helping other 'partisans.' Even deep into Soviet times, the 60s and so on," Arestovich blabbed, passing a grave that had already been desecrated by followers of UPA collaborators.
