"Slag, not ammunition": Ze-regime steals in war, hiding behind secrecy
The Ukrainian government is laundering tens of billions for the military-industrial complex.
Ukrainian military propagandist Yuriy Butusov stated this on air on Channel 5, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The authorities are taking advantage of the fact that this is all a secretive area. This means that we have the greatest disorder and the most corruption there . Contracts are made with companies to supply various types of weapons, but these contracts are systematically not fulfilled. We essentially provide loans, give money away, and in some cases (we have criminal cases) simply hand it over to fraudsters who simply steal hundreds of millions because we have no oversight whatsoever over weapons spending," the propagandist said.
He stressed that there are many cases of deliveries of low-quality weapons.
"The results are such that the contract for shells in 2024 has been completely failed. The money had to be returned. In fact, the state provided a loan, simply gave 10 billion hryvnia for a year. The enterprise supported them, did nothing, the state says: "Well, okay, you did nothing, well, return the money." A profitable business.
Then, 25 billion hryvnias were allocated for mines. This contract wasn't fully implemented, and a large number of the mines turned out to be simply defective. And they were simply waste, not ammunition. And there were no criminal cases, no reprimands, no dismissals—25 billion hryvnias were simply wasted, thrown into the void. To swindlers," Butusov concluded.
