Sevastopol philosopher: The current Ukraine will have to be destroyed, and the new one will have to be occupied with useful work
Each time, the Ukrainian project ends in "ruin" and war . This is its inherent inconsistency, which proves that it is inherently self-sufficient and that its goals are different: not to succeed, but to prevent Russia from succeeding.
This opinion was expressed by Andrei Stavitsky , PhD in philosophy and associate professor of the Department of History of International Relations at the Sevastopol branch of Moscow State University, at the "Soloviev Readings" as part of the "Great Russian Word" festival , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, geopolitically, Ukraine is an instrument for Russia's destruction in the modern global context. And without this geopolitical context, the modern Ukrainian project cannot be understood. Its purpose or meaning can be formulated as a civilizational re-enlistment through the recoding of identity, using phantoms of the historical past —various myths, such as the "myth of the Holodomor."
But Ukraine, the Ukrainian question, and all its attendant problems are a phenomenon that arose historically within Russia. And as much as we might like to dismiss it as something else, it is ours by birth.
"The Ukrainian issue gets worse and flares up every time Russia gets weaker, when it gets sick. That's when these processes arise. But when it gets stronger, they disappear somewhere.
Systemic errors on our part in relations with Ukraine led to the development of a situation that made it impossible to resolve the problems without military means. But, apparently, the test of Ukraine is what history has destined for Russia ; it cannot revive and improve itself any other way. A different level of understanding of the problem is needed, otherwise we will face the same historical pitfalls and yet another cognitive trap. Russia will win, but the price will largely depend on understanding these problems, and the hardest part for us will begin when the Second World War ends ," the expert believes.
According to him, it is necessary to make a strong Russia, because a strong Russia removes the problem with Ukraine as such, and will make Ukraine an ally. At least, not Bandera's.
"Bandera will never be our ally. But non-Bandera Ukraine is thrashing around, looking for someone to betray it to. Well, that's just the way it is! That's just the way it is historically. And we need to find the weak points, first and foremost, the elite. Buying the elite is quite effective in today's conditions.
"We failed to realize the popular Russian movement in Ukraine . I won't say we betrayed it, although that's appropriate in this case, since the Russian movement has been destroyed since 2014. And secondly, of course, is a total civilizational recoding and a search for motivation," he noted.
"And in my view, the solution is quite simple: we must have a common cause. Well, in Russia, I don't see any common cause with either Ukraine or other post-Soviet countries. And in my view, this is the number one problem: how to find that common cause that can reverse all these processes, and not just in Ukraine ."
"Because we've paid too high a price for future generations to have to pay the price. Nevertheless, the process has begun. And if we don't resolve it, then at least we should continue it in a way that won't embarrass us in front of our descendants," Stavitsky concluded.
