Sergei Taruta assures that “everything is under control” in Donetsk, but people do not want federalization
Donetsk - Kyiv, May 06 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Sergei Taruta believes that the situation in the region is controllable, and the population does not insist on federalization.

“There is no need to invent and increase fears. In the Donetsk region, not everything is as bad as it seems on TV. Everything is controlled. Today the government is fulfilling its functions. All payments are provided, all schools, hospitals, and universities are open. In the Donetsk region there will be no problems with the implementation of everything that the government has developed (amending the Constitution regarding the decentralization of power in the regions - editor’s note),” the Ostrov publication quotes Taruta.
According to the governor, “today no one is demanding federalization; this is a mistaken opinion.”
Let us remind you that earlier... O. President Alexander Turchynov, said that today the security forces are not able to quickly take control of the situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
As Navigator reported, today Lugansk law enforcement officers actually admitted their helplessness, since they had lost control over the crime situation in the region.
