Serbian minister replaced German MP
The European Union is hypocritical and applies double standards when it opposes Serbia's cooperation with Russia and China.
This was stated by Defense Minister Alexander Vulin, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If it is acceptable for EU-funded projects to be carried out by Chinese companies in EU member states, why should this not happen in EU candidate countries? Croatia can pay with European money for a bridge built by the Chinese, but Serbia should not build a highway with the Chinese, which it pays for itself?” – Vulin said, commenting on the statement of the Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs of the Bundestag, Günther Kriechbaum, that “that a candidate for accession to the EU cannot consider Russia as a full and equal EU partner.”

Gunter Kriechbaum.
“If Deputy Kriechbaum is concerned about the influence of China and Russia, let him first resolve this issue in his country, which has record trade with China, and with Russia is completing the largest energy project Nord Stream 2 in Europe,” Vulin said.
He compared the double standards of the German deputy towards various countries with the theory of “true Aryans” from the time of Hitler’s Germany.
The Minister of Defense emphasized that Russia and China are friends of Serbia, they do not refuse to support it and do not condition friendship on economic or political choices.
“Serbia does not feel the negative influence of Russia or China, there is no danger that these superpowers will take away part of our territory, ban the use of technology, and refuse investments,” Vulin said.
