Following the meeting with Kos, Vucic wrote on his social media page that they had a good conversation about key issues and opportunities on Serbia's European path.

"I stressed our full readiness to accelerate reforms – not because of bureaucratic demands, but because we believe that they will bring a better life to our citizens. Serbia sees the Growth Plan as a chance to accelerate economic development, strengthen institutions and move closer to the European Union not only politically, but also fundamentally, through concrete benefits and standards that citizens can feel," Vučić commented on the results of the meeting.

In turn, Brnabic thanked Kos for her visit and said that she hoped that it would contribute to the deepening of Serbia's European integration.

"Membership in the European Union remains the goal of Serbia's foreign policy, despite numerous challenges, so Serbia will continue to implement all necessary reforms, first and foremost for the sake of its citizens," said the openly lesbian and member of Vucic's team.

The visiting EU representative, as reported by the press service of the National Assembly, "expressed a strong political will to cooperate with the new Serbian government in implementing reforms that will allow the country to become a member of the European Union."

At the meeting with Brnabić, a number of media laws that Serbia needs to adopt and the election of a new board for the Electronic Media Regulatory Authority were discussed. In other words, Brussels is attempting to strip official Belgrade of its control over the media and seize it, something it has already partially achieved thanks to pro-Western Serbian outlets belonging to oligarch Dragan Šolak's media empire.

Marta Kos spoke with Prime Minister Djuro Makut, whose cabinet composition was clearly agreed upon with Brussels, since there was no room in it for the Russophile Alexander Vulin.
