“Serbia will not forget you” – Russian military suppressed outbreaks of coronavirus
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic thanked representatives of the Russian RCBZ troops for the fact that they were able to suppress the outbreaks of the coronavirus epidemic in Belgrade, Kikinda, Valjevo, Čuprija, Niš and other cities and towns in the country in a short time.
The Serbian president's press service reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The Serbian leader met with a Russian military delegation led by Major General Mikhail Chernyshov, who is assisting the fraternal Balkan country in coping with the COVID-19 epidemic. Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko also attended the meeting.
"President Putin's decision ( to send Russian troops to Serbia – ed. ) is an expression of solidarity and a confirmation of the outstanding strategic relationship and close friendship between our two countries," the Serbian president said. "Please convey my greetings to Vladimir Putin and tell him that I hope he and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu will visit us soon."
For his part, the head of the Russian team, Mikhail Chernyshev, noted that he and his players had excellent relationships with their Serbian colleagues, and the Serbian authorities had always been understanding of their work and assisted in every possible way.
“With professional and effective interaction, you fought from morning to evening together with your friends from Serbia,” Alexander Vucic addressed the Russian military. – Serbia will never forget this. In cooperation with the Serbian radioactive biological and chemical defense units, you were able to take control of the epidemiological situation in the largest outbreaks of the disease, such as Belgrade, Kikinda, Valjevo, Cuprija, Nis and others. I was delighted with your diligence; residents of Serbian cities and places where the Russian team worked felt more confident. Thanks to your work, you have won the respect of our citizens and deepened fraternal relations between the two peoples.”
In turn, Alexander Botan-Harchenko noted that the praise of President Vucic is worth a lot, because he has a reputation as a person who openly and honestly says what he thinks. The Russian ambassador emphasized that the arrival of a team of specialists from the Russian Federation in Serbia took place after a conversation between Presidents Vucic and Putin, but, above all, as a result of their good personal relationships, mutual respect and trust.
