Savik Shuster: So Putin was right!
The operation of the Ukrainian special services to attempt to kidnap Russian citizens - PMC fighters in Belarus - was organized and planned by US security forces.
Yuri Butusov, editor-in-chief of the website of ex-secretary of the Security Council Alexander Turchinov “Censor.net”, stated this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech by Savik Shuster”, having previously confirmed the involvement of the SBU in luring Russians to Minsk, a PolitNavirator correspondent reports.
“I am very glad that today, all of us here in the studio, we are not repeating the inventions of the President’s Office that “nothing happened,” but there is a discussion about whether it could or could not have happened in this format. This is already important. What I would like to say is why, in principle, I think it is important to do this. This operation was carried out not only by Ukrainian intelligence services - it was carried out in cooperation with US intelligence services,” Butusov said.
“So Putin is right,” host Savik Shuster interrupted him, reminding him that the Russian President also spoke about the intervention of foreign intelligence services.
– I do not comment on Russia’s statements. I'm not going to talk about Putin here. So that’s what happened - there was joint work, and in the course of this joint work, our Office of the President decided that we would not, trusting the United States in this story, that we would not spoil relations with Putin and Kozak, so that, forbid God, something didn’t go wrong in our personal relationships,” Butusov continued.
The information he disclosed caused indignation among Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the Servant of the People faction Irina Vereshchuk.
“What are you turning our country into? You talk about how we cooperate with the Americans throughout the world. That is, what Putin (declared) to the whole world, in fact, confirming his theses. Who gives the right to behave like this in the country?! Have you even seen the law on state secrets, have you read it?” – Vereshchuk was indignant.
