Sanctions are very effective, Moscow just doesn’t care about them - German Foreign Minister
The sanctions that European countries have imposed do not work because Russia simply does not pay attention to them and continues to carry out its tasks.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock stated this in an interview with Deutsche Welle, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are already breaking all economic ties with Russia. Obviously, this is very painful for Russia. But if there is now a regime in Russia that is not worried about its economy, about the interests of its people, about its society.
It's clear that autocratic regimes find it much easier to do whatever they want. Because if protests break out, they start jailing people, something they don't do in democratic countries ( this is a lie – just look at the examples of repression against those who go against the mainstream in the West – ed. ).
It’s not that sanctions don’t produce results, but if there is someone who says that war comes first, then it’s obvious that sanctions don’t stop him,” Burbock said.
