“It’s getting worse every day”: in Kyiv they started talking about the surrender of Avdiivka
The situation in Avdiivka for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is getting worse and worse, and it’s time for the Kyiv command to decide: either try to hold the city, or withdraw the troops.
Kiev military analyst Mikhail Zhirokhov said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There is information that every day logistics [in Avdievka] are getting worse and worse for our group. Therefore, in the near future the General Staff will be forced to take some radical steps.
Analysts believe that this could be either a retreat to more advantageous positions or local counterattacks in order to somehow open these pincers, which are closing and closing for several tens and hundreds of meters every day,” Zhirokhov said.
However, he emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not have the strength for a powerful strike either there or in the south, where the Ukrainian counter-offensive failed.
“There are local battles in the south and the tactical situation is improving. The forest belt, which is taken from time to time, advances 100-300 meters, but, unfortunately, we do not have the strength to break through the defense. There is simply an improvement in tactical conditions and improvement in defense before the winter period,” the military analyst concluded.
