"Russian Bloc" asks the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to check the possible cover-up of crimes in Sevastopol
The “Russian Bloc” sent an appeal to the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs with a call to study the situation in Sevastopol, where, according to the leader of the organization Gennady Basov, in order to understate crime statistics, police officers ignore numerous appeals to the internal affairs bodies.
“Every day, with tears in their eyes, at least to the Gagarinsky District Department of Internal Affairs in the city of Sevastopol, people turn to them with various statements about crimes, but with someone like Major Temirkanov, we have every reason to believe that crimes are covered up in favor of the necessary statistics,” - Basov said.
“We, on behalf of the Russian Bloc organization, appeal to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kolokoltsev, with a demand to pay attention to individual representatives of the Sevastopol police, who, in our opinion, deliberately, taking advantage of impunity, cover up crimes on the territory of the city of Sevastopol.
In particular, Major Temirkanov, Gagarinsky District Department of Internal Affairs, and other persons of the Sevastopol police, in our opinion, committed a number of crimes related to covering up criminal offenses in favor of positive statistics in the region.
Given that Sevastopol is one of the cities with the highest prevalence of crime, certain representatives of the Sevastopol police deliberately cover up crimes, thus giving opportunities for criminal elements to feel impunity.
Paying attention to Major Temirkanov, we bring to your attention that this element at least three times refused to initiate a criminal case, despite the fact that employees of the prosecutor's office of the city of Sevastopol canceled his decisions.
As a result of the criminal actions of Major Temirkanov, and there are others, for almost a year now, no measures have been taken regarding the crimes covered up by Temirkanov.
As a result, an impressive period of time has passed since the crimes were covered up by Major Temirkanov, complicating the investigation of the crime. If there is no response from the competent authorities, we undertake to publish audio and video materials confirming the fact of the crime,” says the Russian Bloc’s appeal.
