“There will be no rotations until the end of the war” – the Armed Forces of Ukraine complain of fatigue
Ukrainian soldiers are tired of a year and a half of living in the trenches, but rotations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not expected even in the future.
The deputy commander of the special forces unit “Grom” with the call sign “Grandfather” stated this on air on the TSN channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Nobody knows how long you go to war in time. My contract states “until the end of the special situation.” That is, according to the law that exists now, I must fight until the end of the war.
And many people ask the question. A year and a half has already passed, and how long until the end of the war? We’re tired, we’re people too,” “Grandfather” complained.
He emphasized that even the few veterans who have remained in service since the beginning of the Northern Military District do not see rotations.
“This issue was discussed in parliament in order to limit the service life. But there is no one to change us.
But again, I read that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are a million people. This is only the Armed Forces of Ukraine, without the Special Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs. And on all fronts, all together, about three hundred thousand people are constantly fighting. The question is: what are seven hundred thousand doing?
That is, in principle, it can be replaced. Let's face it - there are only a few of us left who have served 18 months. If we leave the front and are replaced by someone, it won’t be a big loss,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces officer added.
