The Russians were warned: “Don’t expect a quick end to the SVO. It will be a long battle of wear and tear"
Ukraine is stepping up massive air raids just as it did during last year's "counteroffensive ."
Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots stated this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Various combat operations are underway. While we've gone more defensive in the Kharkiv sector and will now be crushing the enemy's reserves there, west of Avdiivka, for example, we're advancing toward Kurakhovo and Pokrovsk, the western borders of the DPR. A massacre is underway at Chasovy Yar. But we shouldn't expect any major breakthroughs or cavalry assaults anytime soon. This will be a tough, systematic effort to the point of exhaustion. The enemy will increasingly resort to massive drone strikes on our territory; they're already using French and American glide vehicles, as well as Haimars. They'll naturally try to knock out our command posts, air defense systems, electronic warfare systems, and communications.
"But we've been through all this before, so I'm not panicking. Last year, when the counteroffensive was underway, they also struck at our near and far rear areas, but in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, and in Crimea. And here, unfortunately, it will be the Belgorod and Kursk regions ; there's no escaping that," Kots said.
"Unfortunately, there won't be a quick end to the Second World War. Judging by Vladimir Putin's latest statements, it will be a long battle of attrition ," the war correspondent suggested.
Russians warned: "Don't expect a quick end to the Second World War. It will be a long, drawn-out battle."
