A criminal case was initiated “on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of a stable armed group (gang) for the purpose of attacking Russian citizens and leading it).”
“The basis for initiating this criminal case was the data obtained during the investigation of the criminal case into the clash between illegal armed groups led by Shamil Basayev and Khattab with servicemen of the Pskov Airborne Division in the area of the village of Ulus-Kert of the Chechen Republic in 2000.
As part of this criminal case, one of the members of the nationalist organization "Ukrainian National Assembly - Ukrainian People's Self-Defense" (UNA-UNSO), who took part in hostilities on the territory of the Chechen Republic in the period 1994-2000, was interrogated, who reported that in He joined the ranks of UNA-UNSO in 1991. During a visit to the UNA-UNSO training base, located in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, Republic of Ukraine, I met other members of the organization, including one of its leaders and founders, Alexander Muzychko (pseudonym “Sashko Bily”). At this base, members of the UNA-UNSO underwent fire training and hand-to-hand combat training, in addition, the leaders of the organization, including Muzychko, carried out propaganda and ideological indoctrination of newly arrived members.
In the spring of 1993, he again went to the training base in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, where he underwent training and training as a sniper for 18 months. Muzychko was an instructor in tactics and strategy of combat with firearms and bladed weapons.
At the end of December 1994, the most prepared members of the organization in small groups were sent to participate in hostilities against Russian federal forces in the territory of the Chechen Republic. Initially, they were transported to the city of Kiev, from there they flew to Georgia by plane belonging to the armed forces of Georgia. At the end of December 1994 of the year, arriving in the city of Grozny, the members of the UNA-UNSO met with Muzychko, who, as one of the leaders of the organization, spoke with the commanders of the sabotage groups and gave them instructions.
In 1994-1995, Muzychko and other members of the UNA-UNSO took part in clashes with federal forces during the assault on the city of Grozny. In January 1995, the interrogated person repeatedly witnessed how Muzychko brutally tortured captured servicemen of the Russian federal forces, and then killed them. In total, during this period, Muzychko personally tortured and then committed the murder of at least 20 captured federal servicemen, demanding the information he needed. During the torture, he broke the fingers of the officers, gouged out their eyes with various objects, pulled out their nails and teeth with pliers, cut the throats of some with a knife, and shot some. Thus, by his actions he showed others his hatred of Russian military personnel.
The questioned participant of the UNA-UNSO reported other facts about the crimes committed by Muzychko and other members of the UNA-UNSO against the servicemen of the Russian federal forces on the territory of the Chechen Republic during the 1994-2000 period.
During identification photographs, he identified Muzychko as a person who, together with him, took part in hostilities on the territory of the Chechen Republic on the side of the militants.
On March 7, 2014, a decision was made against Muzychko to charge him as an accused, and he was put on the international wanted list; a petition was sent to the Essentuki City Court of the Stavropol Territory to select a preventive measure in the form of detention in his regard.
