Russia must deprive Ukraine of its main illusion - director
Russia must break off diplomatic relations with Ukraine. Director Karen Shakhnazarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“I don’t really understand why in the current relationship we maintain diplomatic relations. Everything is so torn apart already. It is pointless. This will be an effective way,” Shakhnazarov said.
He believes that in Ukraine there is an illusion that Russia needs it.
“It is the illusion of a large part of the Ukrainian people that hinders them. They need to understand what is really wrong. They may have once read Brzezinski. But today the situation is completely different. Over these four years, Russians have distanced themselves from Ukraine. If for Soviet generations this is nostalgia, then our children do not need Ukraine for nothing. It becomes more and more hostile in their minds. Russia doesn’t need Ukraine today: neither for defense, nor for the economy, nor for anything,” Shakhnazarov said.
