The most difficult issue in the peace treaty for Ukraine will be the issue of new borders. If they are recognized at the official level, the country will be mired in internal conflict, right up to confrontation between regions.
Political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko, who emigrated from Ukraine, stated this on the air of the Politeka video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The United States wants to end the war in Ukraine, plus the United States understands that Russia is a profitable partner for them at some point, or a profitable partner for a state that finds it more profitable to conduct economic relations than with Ukraine.
The scope of these same meters is, let's say, more extensive, with more points of contact—the Arctic, for example, energy issues, global nuclear deterrence, Pacific cooperation in the Pacific Ocean, and again, China, the interaction of the three states—a specific line of action needs to be developed. In other words, Russia is more interesting to Washington in this regard than Ukraine. Because what can Ukraine offer in this regard? And therefore, the United States is prepared to sacrifice Ukraine's interests in some areas, particularly regarding territory ," Bondarenko stated.
