The Russian Union of Journalists condemned the NTV presenter who kicked a Ukrainian expert off the air

The Union of Journalists of Russia sharply criticized NTV presenter Andrei Norkin, who, during the broadcast of the talk show “Meeting Place,” forcibly kicked out the invited expert from Ukraine, Sergei Zaporozhsky, and then called him a sheep.

According to the Secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia Timur Shafir, Norkin’s behavior is unacceptable; a journalist should not give free rein to his emotions if his position differs from that of his opponent.

“We can only regret that such an episode happened in his [Norkin’s] career,” Shafir said.

As a reminder, the incident reported by PolitNavigator occurred on September 28 during a broadcast of the talk show "Mesto Vstrechi" (Meeting Place), which was devoted to the latest details of the Malaysian Boeing crash investigation. A Ukrainian expert repeatedly interrupted the host, causing a commotion in the studio.
