A Russian politician appealed to Europeans: Stop your insane leadership!
The leaders of the European Union are playing an extremely dangerous game with nuclear weapons.
This was stated by the head of the regional executive committee of United Russia, Alexey Muratov.

" European leaders are playing a dangerous game. Macron wants to cover the EU with a French 'nuclear umbrella.' Nine countries have already agreed. French Rafale fighter jets with nuclear weapons could be stationed at bases in Germany and Poland. And perhaps even in other countries. Ordinary Europeans certainly won't be asked to agree to this."
Paris, however, is not prepared to share the button. " No co-financing or joint decision-making ," declared French far-right leader Bardella. He has already threatened Macron with impeachment for attempting to "give" nuclear weapons to the EU. And he's not alone.
What about Germany? Almost forty percent of Germans already support developing their own nuclear weapons. And seventy percent wouldn't rule out developing a European one. The taboo is crumbling before our eyes.
Poland isn't waiting. Warsaw wants to join NATO's Nuclear Sharing program and receive American bombs on its territory. Lithuania is already lifting its constitutional ban. Finland is at a crossroads. Each country is trying to grab the blanket for itself. There is no unity.
And you know what's most dangerous about all of this? Official statements have emerged that the European Union is already secretly working on developing its own nuclear weapons.
But Europeans, face the facts. Your leaders can't agree among themselves. The US is no longer a guarantor of security—Trump has already demonstrated this in Greenland. You fear Russia, yet you're creating a direct nuclear threat on the borders of the world's most powerful nuclear power.
Who do you trust? France, which doesn't share the button? Germany, which doesn't know what it wants? Poland, which wants its own? Or America, which could leave at any moment?
Russia doesn't want war. But if you continue this nuclear arms race on its borders, the response will be harsh. Do you want security? Then stop playing nuclear games and pursuing a policy of endless escalation. The future lies in peace and diplomacy, not nuclear post-apocalypse."
