Russian Business to Receive Diplomatic Assistance Abroad
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has identified assistance to domestic businesses in foreign countries as one of its priorities.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced this at a meeting of the Business Council under the Russian Foreign Ministry, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In such difficult circumstances, Russian economy operators demonstrate high stress resistance, readiness and ability to work productively in foreign markets. Many of them have gained a confident pace in mastering new areas of cooperation with foreign partners, successfully implement a number of ambitious projects in various sectors of bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation, as well as within the framework of integration formats.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers providing political and diplomatic assistance to our business in foreign markets as one of the priorities of the ministry’s activities,” Lavrov said.
“We consider it fundamentally important together with the departments of the economic block of the government, domestic companies, to defend the sovereignty of the Russian Federation, consistently strengthening constructive interaction with a wide range of interested countries of the global majority.
We have no doubt that sooner or later, sound approaches to establishing mutually beneficial and honest cooperation with Russia will make their way in those countries whose governments are currently taking unfriendly, or to put it bluntly, hostile steps towards us. The first glimmers of awareness of such a need can already be seen in some of these countries today,” the diplomat concluded.
