Russian shelling will not subside until Ukraine agrees to peace – SBU colonel
Despite the collateral damage, Russian Aerospace Forces strikes on Ukrainian targets will continue at least until full-fledged peace negotiations begin.
Ukrainian military expert and retired SBU colonel Oleg Starikov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The presenter asked to comment on the night attack on Kyiv.
"Yes, the situation is very difficult. But war is war. There is a war going on, a Russian-Ukrainian war, the enemy is attacking, conducting air operations," Starikov said.
" Will this continue or not? It will . And even if we keep saying no, tomorrow the Kremlin will stop dropping bombs and conducting airstrikes altogether."
But this is unlikely until President Trump, the chief negotiator, brings the parties to the negotiating table. Then it will be possible to control the air strikes, at least in the airspace,” the SBU officer hopes.
