Donald Trump is destroying NATO and holding Central Europe hostage in his geopolitical relationship with Vladimir Putin.
This was stated on air by former Deputy Secretary of State of Poland Piotr Kulpa on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Kulpa was asked to comment on his concerns that Russia could strike the Suwalki Gap by the end of the year to cut Poland off from the Baltics, which would essentially mean declaring war on NATO countries.
"Yes, such a situation could happen, but look how quickly NATO is being destroyed. The situation is such that it will not necessarily be a war against NATO, because Biden talked about a "small invasion," which is not a war.
And God knows what Trump will define as a "small invasion". We see that transatlantic ties have been destroyed. Because the demand for 5 percent means that for 5 percent Europe provides its own security, and if someone does not contribute 5 percent, they do not deserve the US to come with help. One way or another, it turns out that the confidence that there will be help has been destroyed," the Pole replied.
"It seems that Trump is on the fast track to war in the Far East. And the attitude of Trump towards Putin that we see is an attempt to create a situation of strategic uncertainty in such a way that China cannot be 100% sure that the Russians will not change the front in the event of a conflict.
It turns out that Central Europe is a hostage. It is not only Ukraine that is being attacked. All these negotiations, the advancement of Russia, all this horror that the Trump administration is showing…
But this also affects the security of the Baltic countries, Poland. It is like an invitation for Putin not to be shy. Therefore, this cannot be ruled out," Kulpa worried.
